Family Reunion

Saturday was our first family reunion.....the fun for Jack & Maddie was much more about playing with ice from the cooler (which they're "eating" here) and spending the day at the beach.

The beach makes us sooooooooooo tired!

Maddie & Ava became friends by the end of the day - they weren't too sure of each other at first, but found out they love the same things by the end of the day (chips!).

Bouncy House

Now that summer is back for a few days we set up our bouncy house we got from our cousins and bounced our little hearts out on Friday...

And this is how we think it's fun to exit the bouncy house...

Camping Fun

We headed up north last Thursday for some more camping with grandma and cousins. Our best part about our trip is always the water. We got to try out Jack's new raft.

Maddie sharpened up on her water survivial skills.

And it apparently really tired her out because she napped in the raft for at least a couple of hours. You can't tell because of her sunglasses, but she is sound asleep.

First Camping of the season

We finally got our camper packed up and ready to roll and headed out for our first camping trip of the year. We didn't go far, but it was nice to just get away for a couple of days.

Apparently there was some lack of entertainment because watching daddy chop wood became quite the show.

Maddie reading before bedtime - she caught onto this camping stuff pretty quick this year. Hopefully we have much more luck with her and camping than we've had for the past couple of years.

3 day Birthday Bash

On Thursday, Jack's birthday, his class put on an end of year skit of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Jack was an orange.

When we came home we celebrated by first of all opening gifts (BATMAN!!)

And afterward going out for dinner (Happy meals - Jack's pick) and ice cream.

Friday was the last day of school, so afterward he was able to have his first "friend" party. He chose Phineas and Ferb for his party theme.

We continued on with the Phineas and Ferb theme, unfortunately the cake had a little accident beforehand.

He had a very successful birthday - lots of activities, transformers, a raft, a kite, etc. Should keep him plenty busy this summer.
