Hi!!

We've been a pretty boring family lately, nothing much new, which sometimes isn't such a bad thing I suppose. Today Maddie was feeling under the weather, so I picked her up from daycare, she took a nap, and then we got ready to head out to the doctor. Of course, she was feeling much happier and perkier for the doctor's visit and all of her symptoms came back full force about 15 minutes after we left, but even so, we got cute for the day! In the store after the doctor's visit, she kept getting compliments on her hat and outfit and of course gave lots of nasty looks to most of those people, but out of the blue to someone she said "hi!" and then I think because of my reaction to it, from then on she kept saying it. The vocabulary keeps growing!

Day at the Park

Since we knew it was going to be such a beautiful day today, we planned to meet Katie and Allie at the park.

We got to do lots of exploring of everything, especially wood chips.

It was nice to see each other and catch up on everything!

The Easter Bunny came!!!! Jack was impressed with some of the things he got this morning - another KITE!!

Maddie found her basket with the help of her big brother - she was treated to some new sand toys!

Jack put a bunch of their Easter stuff up and wanted his picture taken by it. The crazy part is this was only about half of it! Apparently the Easter bunny that goes to everyone else's house for them is very generous!

Easter dinner at grandma's

On Saturday we celebrated a little early and went to have dinner with Heath's family. The kids all got to hunt for a basket the bunny hid.

Then an indoor (and much warmer than this morning) egg hunt. Maddie liked to shake hers.

Jack had some serious searching to do.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday morning we headed to the park to take part in the annual Easter egg hunt.

Maddie was excited to carry her basket around to try to find goodies.

Jack impressed me by passing over most of the candy and instead taking the toys (and yet we are still overflowing with candy in this house!)

Jack gave Alyssa a big hug because she gave him a spongebob kite that he had found while we were walking over to the park - it was placed in the "big kid" area though, so he couldn't get it. He was so excited she had gotten this for him!
